Our Family Story
Welcome to our family story. We are the Achens—Lucas, our children, and our beloved dogs. For us, breeding isn’t just a business; it’s our family’s legacy, our passion, and our way of sharing love with families across North America.
Our journey began over 40 years ago when my parents first discovered their love for these special breeds. What started as a passion has blossomed into a multi-generation family tradition of love, care, and respect for these wonderful animals.
Today, we continue this beautiful legacy, raising puppies in our Massachusetts home with the same Christian values, dedication, and love that has defined our family for decades.
Our Humble Beginnings
My parents, lifelong animal lovers, began their journey with these cherished breeds more than four decades ago. They were among the first to carefully introduce these breeds to American communities, focusing on proper socialization and temperament development.
Growing up in this environment, I learned about respect for animals, responsibility, and the joy that comes from caring for living creatures. My childhood was filled with puppies, and our home was always a place of love and learning.
When I started my own family, it was only natural to continue this tradition. My children have grown up with the same values, learning compassion and responsibility alongside our breeding program.

Growing up surrounded by puppies, Lucas learned the family trade from his parents. Now leading the family business, he ensures every puppy receives the same love and care he experienced as a child.
Our Children
The next generation of Achens are actively involved in caring for our puppies. They learn responsibility, compassion, and the family values that make our breeding program special.
Our Breeding Dogs
Our adult dogs are cherished family members first, breeding dogs second. They live in our home, receive regular veterinary care, and enjoy retirement with us when their breeding days are complete.

Located in beautiful Massachusetts, our home is specially designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment for our dogs and puppies. We believe puppies should be raised in a home, not a facility.
Every area of our home is puppy-proofed and designed with their safety and development in mind. We have dedicated spaces for play, rest, and socialization that mimic real family environments.
Our outdoor areas are securely fenced and regularly inspected to ensure safety. Puppies have supervised outdoor time to experience fresh air, sunlight, and gentle exploration from an early age.
